I am a photographer from the Fraser Valley just outside of Vancouver Canada. After doing this amazing job for over eighteen years I can truly say I still have an incredible passion for photographing weddings and people's journeys through life... from holding their first newborn baby to seeing their families grow.

A few things to know about me... I've been married to my husband for seventeen years and we have three beautiful girls. My husband Shawn is not only my partner in life but he's also my talented second shooter. I love coffee, white wine, thrifting, editing to true crime podcasts and cuddling with my youngest baby, my pup Theo.

Hello there! I'm thrilled to share some tips and insights on preparing for your engagement session. This pre-wedding session is a fabulous opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to become comfortable in front of the camera before your big day.

Let's start with outfit choices. Your clothing should reflect your personality and the overall vibe of the shoot. Consider coordinating your outfits without being too matchy-matchy. Complementary colors, similar styles, and a consistent level of formality can bring a cohesive look to your photos. Remember, comfort is key! If you're not comfortable, it will show in your photos. Also, don't forget about the details - shoes, accessories, and even the color of your nail polish can add a touch of your personality to the images.

Next up, the location. A meaningful place for you as a couple can make your photos even more special. Maybe it's the coffee shop where you had your first date, the park where you walk your dog, or just a beautiful spot you both love. Outdoor locations with lots of natural light always make for stunning photos. However, if you're more of an indoor couple, consider your home or a cozy cafe. The important thing is that you feel comfortable and the location reflects your personal style.

Now, let's talk about posing ideas. Don't worry, I'll guide you through this. The aim is to capture your natural interaction, so try to forget about the camera.
